Since 2011 was a slow quilting year for me and so far 2012 is off to a good start, I wanted to do what I can to keep it going. I have been lurking watching other WIP Wednesday, so to help keep me on track I have decided to join in.
I finished the last of my blocks for my red and white quilt. This is a guild challenge that need to be completed by the end of May and I have to admit that I'm making better progress than I expected. I am also enjoying working with the red and white more than I expected. This is my third quilt that is mainly red and white (one also had black) and I think as I was a little lax in what I consider red and white I'm enjoying the greater variety in the fabrics, and much to my surprise I'm liking the more country reds

As I when along I got better at making the required numbers of half square triangles, but still got enough extra to make this bonus project, I will add a border with the pock-a dot fabric for a doll quilt.

As I'll need room on the design wall I have also started adding the sashing to my jungle quilt.

Note to self: When putting things up on the design wall try staring in a corner and not in the middle and you may be able to have more that one project up at a time.
