For the front I only needed to add the boarder. The boarder fabric reminds me of table cloth, I picked this up when I knew we were going to be doing a red and white challenge. I think it's fun.
I had enough left over fabric to make the back. This took me longer than I was thinking it would, mainly because LM wanted to help. She picked out the fabric for the strips and sat on my lap while I sew the last strip in.
I am still making steady progress with Farmer's wife, here are this week blocks.

How great to have your daughter so actively involved in helping you. My daughter loves it when I sew- especially when its for her!
Well done making such great progress on your red and white- it looks great!
Very nice Farmer's Wife blocks! I still like your fabric choice for it.
Love the quilt back, very cool!
Love the quilt and your FW blocks.
Love your red and white, so cute! Seeing that really makes me want to dig out my red and white quilt and work on it. Hmmmmm.....we'll see....
You are really making progress on your Farmer's Wife blocks! I'm hoping to work on a couple more today. I noticed on the blog link that I sent you, she posted 3 more blocks this morning.
