Border added

I have been reading lots of blogs and see so much getting done in the last couple of weeks, and I have struggled to get the border on my Bear's Paw quilt. Life has gotten in the way of quilting this week, but I just finished adding the border. We won't look at the time. I kept the border simple, this is one of the largest borders I have added, but I think this quilt can handle it.

For my birthday, I received some cash, and I think birthday money should be spent on gifts, not day to day stuff. I waited until after Christmas before going shopping. I decided to get a few books, and they arrived this week. I think I was in the mood for applique when I was ordering them. My applique still need a lot of work, maybe the books will help.

Very nice! Bear Paw is one the best blocks, isn't it?

Nice bunch of books there. I thought my applique was pretty good until I took a class from Becky Goldsmith, she sure taught me a lot. Good luck with yours. Mostly it is just lots of practice - and according to Becky Goldsmith - really, really tiny stitches!!

This is looking better and better - I love it. What a super haul of books - my applique needs some work too.

Those books are so tempting, I'd make myself a pot of coffee and have a lovely time looking at them all. The border has finished off the Bear Paw perfectly, it's turned out beautifully.
Liked the tour of your sewing room, I love getting new storage and sorting through my stash.
