I have finished my Red, B & W quilt tonight. I finished the hand sewing at guild meeting. So the girls got to see it before I give it away. I have a week to spare as my friend birthday in not until next week end.This was started as a B.O.M from Along Came Quilting a couple of years ago. They had a finishing kit, that I didn't buy, it made the quilt bigger than I wanted. I did buy extra background fabric so I could finish it the way I wanted.
Of course I did have "help" from Fritz with the quilting

I have enjoyed the progress of this quilt. You should call it the "Newspaper" quilt. Why? Because it's black and white and re(a)d all over. Remember that joke?
This is lovely - the background fabric is really great. I'm sure your friend will love it and hand quilted too !
Your kitty looks like a great helper! This is a wonderful quilt and I'm sure your friend will love it. I agree with Jodie -- getting a quilt done before the event should always be celebrated!
