Australian log cabin

The last couple of days, I have been trying to get the backs to a couple of quilts made. This is not very interesting, so I can find other thing to do. Last night I when down to my sewing room to make a back, and my Australian log cabin called to me. Most of the fabric was a gift for Christmas (2004). It just sat there in a bag, until May (2007) when I finally managed to cut it into strips, then earlier this month I took it to a quilt till you wilt day, where I made 10 blocks
Last night I finish a couple more blocks. Here is a closed up of one of the blocks plus the the fabric I am using for the centers.

Tonight I did get one of the backs made, but more about that quilt later.

Hi!!! :)

Found your blog. Tag! You're it...

Good pictures of the quilt. And, hmmm. Now that you're done the turtles, does that mean we need another field trip to Sugar Pine?

I love a log cabin block. There are so many ways to set out the blocks for different designs. Very pretty colors you are using.

Welcome to the blogging world! Is it called an Australian log cabin because of the fabric you used in the centers? Great idea to use a fabric like that in a log cabin. I might have to do that with some bear fabric I have. Thanks for the idea!
