Well this will be my last post for a few weeks as tomorrow I am taking the little one to visit my family. I don't think we will have much access to the Internet, but hopefully I will have photos to share when we get back. I have been trying to pack today but am having trouble deciding what to take. Hopefully we will have nice weather but want to be perpared in case we don't.

Red Deer Quilt show
Today I when to Red Deer for their annual quilt show. It made for a nice day out. I was surprised how long I was there, time seemed to fly by. Thought I would share a couple of my favorite quilts.
I have the pattern for this first quilt and I even have fabric picked out, one of these years will make it. I like how they graded the fabric from dark to light.
Of course I loved the kitty cat quilt. I really like the colour used in this quilt.
This next quilt reminder me of the type of quilt a friend would make, she really likes curved piecing.
I loved how simple this next quilt was and the great way it showed case a group of fabric, I think I even have some of the fabric in it, left over from my Australian log cabin quilt.
I keep the shopping to the minimum, its hard to shop for lots when I have so little time to quilt at the moment. I did pick up some fabric for the mason jar table runner I am planning on making. Was very glad to run into the other girl who also won the pattern and fabric at the Millarville show as was wanting to trade with her and we have both purchased the same fabrics. Where we have picked them up from was nice enough to let us trade so we both now have different fabric. Show she a good person to trade with as we both have similar taste.

Bunny block
I finally finished an other bunny block. At this rate little miss will be 12 by the time I finish. But here is the block. it needs to be ironed.
After finishing I did get 2 more blocks traced ready to go. I think I should be able to start to get some of this done in the evenings after she has gone to bed.

Size
We took our little one for photo when she was two months old, we received the CD with all the photos this week. Of course I love all the portrait photos, the one with just her more than the ones with mom and dad in them, but that may be because I could look at her all day. But I also love the picture that capture just how small she is, I thought I would share a couple of these with you.

Millarville Quilt show
It was a beautiful day today, and me, my little one and a couple of the girls from guild when to Millaeville for a small quilt show. It was too nice of a day to be stuck in the city when with a short drive in the country you could be at a quilt show. We met for lunch fist and made an afternoon of it. A few of the quilts I wanted to hold up to get a better look.
Myself and one of the girls both won door prize. We both won a manson jar with a few fabric square and a patter for making mason jar blocks. We both think we are going to make the wall hanging they had as an example.

A finish
Yeah, my first finish for the year. Last night I finished the small wall hanging for over the crib. I had another quilt hanging here before this was her room, but wanted something shorter so she couldn't grab it.
Here is a close up of the quilting. I kept it simple, and just did some shadow quilting.
I am pleased with how this turned out. I think it has girlie feel.
