Lucky girl

Sometime it pays to tell people when you like something. A couple of years ago a friend was working on a star quilt at retreat, and I comment that I really like the pattern, when I got home I showed DH and picture of the blocks she had been working on and he told me that I should make the same quite. Fast forward a couple of years and she has finished the quilt, but changed it from 4 block to 3, so she gave me the extra block. Each block was a different colour, and she knew that purple is my favorite colour. I think it is stunning.
I will either see if I can get the pattern to make a couple more blocks or I will make this one into a wall hanging, not sure yet, but I will be sure to give it a good home.

Or it could be the centre block for a medallion quilt. I'msure you need another big project - lol ! It is a beauty !

What an amazing block, you'll have to think seriously about what to do with it. I like Andrea's suggestion of a medallion quilt, but if you could get the pattern it would be nice to make more.
I love that simple cross quilt from a few posts back, I'll put that in my ideas file too!

Very pretty! Could be the start of a round robin, or a medallion, or can stand by itself as a wonderful wallhanging. Great work!
