ALC Finished

Happy Easter every one.

Its been a while since I posted, the week got away from me, and I didn't get much quilting done. I have started working on a cross stitch as a gift for a friend wedding latter this year. I think the last time I did a cross stitch I was a teenager. So its eating up time as I am quite slow when it comes to this, I think its just as well that I started this with lots of time.

On the quilting front I did get my Australian log cabin finished. I am so happy with how this turned out, I just love it. This was just a case of putting the binding on. I had lots of left over strips from the long cabin, as I had gotten carried away when I was cutting for the blocks. I like how the scrapping binding works on the quilt.

Also wanted to show you the fun fabric that I used for the back. I picked the up on a road trip a while back, a girl friend and I just wanted to get out of town, so we took a day of from work and did a quilt store road trip. She was the one who spotted this Australian Aboriginal print in the sales bin, so perfect for the ALC quilt back.

That back is a prize! The ALC is all grand goodness and I love it. The center of the blocks are so neat.

Totally dig it!!! Way to go.

Wow -- that's a gorgeous quilt. I love using scrappy bindings, think they're fun. Makes it more interesting when one is stitching it down. ;-)
